"OUTBACK BIRDING AT ITS BEST."
North Queensland covers a large expanse of everchanging landscapes. This fully accommodated, 10 day birdwatching tour is designed to showcase not only this remote and beautiful region, but its outstounding variety of avifauna. A great mixture of birding hotspots are combined in an itinerary that had over 200 bird species sited on our 2016 & 2017 trips.
Great Northern Tours are excited about offering this (one-off for 2018) adventure for only yourself, three other passengers and your experienced guide. In a relaxed, flexible manner we will visit many iconic birding sites, including the Atherton Tablelands, Georgetown, Karumba, Burketown, and some very exciting birding in the Mt Isa region.
From the fabulous 'World Heritage Listed' wet tropics, to the spinifex-clad hills of the outback, we believe this well structured itinerary is one of the best birdwatching adventures offered in North Queensland.
Comprising great food, very comfortable vehicle, plenty of time to photograph, as well as a boat cruise on the Norman River at Karumba, ensuring that you will leave with lasting memories of some great birding, in Queensland's beautiful North West.
